To submit a series for regular playback you:

  1. Must be a current paid member of The Santa Barbara Channels. Proof of Santa Barbara, Goleta, or Carpinteria residency is required.
  2. Must be submitting a weekly or bi-weekly program.

To keep your time slots throughout the season…

  1. Time slots will be lost after 3 occurrences of repeats or no new content delivered on time. Producers are encouraged to request only as much programming time as they are certain they can fulfill with new content.
  2. Programs must be delivered at least 3 business days prior to the first scheduled program air date. (Business days do not include weekends. For example, if a program is scheduled to air on a Sunday, the program must be delivered by close of business Tuesday.) If a program is not delivered at least 3 business days prior to the program's scheduled air time, staff will attempt to accommodate the producer by repeating a previous program; however, this is considered a "repeat."
  3. When a producer of a LIVE show does not show, cancels, or does not arrive on time for a live show, the program will be considered a “repeat.” Studio time will be lost after 2 such occurrences. Live show producers are encouraged to pre-record at least one new (preferably more) program(s) to disk that can be used in case of illness, emergency, or guest cancellation.
  4. Producers are permitted up to 3 repeats. Upon the fourth repeat, the time slots will be lost, and will be re-opened to the selection process. The producer must then re-submit a program proposal to select a new time slot for the remainder of the season.

Reservations & Cancellations Policy

  1. ALL cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for field equipment, edit bays, and studios reservations.
  2. There will be a $50 fee for any cancellation made less than 48 hours in advance, or for a no-show. A Producer may not make any subsequent reservations nor utilize any services (including training or classes) until the fee has been paid.

As the producer of this Program, I agree that I have read and understood the Santa Barbara Channels Membership Handbook, and I have read and agree to adhere to the policies and guidelines contained therein. I understand and accept the policies above within this series program proposal.

I accept full responsibility for any Crewpersons, Talent, Guests, and Audience associated with the production of my program. I agree to be present during the Set-Up, Shoot, and Wrap of my program, and I understand that my absence will result in the forfeiture of my scheduled production time.
